Bozu

Intercity created a cover design that referenced a found image of a stone-carved Sator Square for Bozu's Never Odd Or Even EP. The title is a palindrome (a phrase that reads the same backwards as forwards), so we created abstract geometric typography to highlight the symmetry of the letterforms. The design was cut into a steel plate using a water-jet process, and filled with black treacle, before being photographed. We then created a further series of campaign images using concrete casts of the original steel plate.
