A New Night Before Christmas

A New Night Before Christmas challenged aspiring authors to submit an original story – with the winning tale delivered for free to millions of Kindles and turning the book into an instant hit. The inaugural competition was won by Lucy Banks for her story about a slug named Sol and his Christmas Eve adventures. The Academy commissioned Intercity to design both digital and print versions of the book. In addition to the layout, Intercity art directed the illustration and created a bespoke typeface for use throughout the book.
